American Family Health is an individual approach to disease prevention.

Genetic testing is just the first step in early detection and prevention of health conditions. Ongoing professional guidance is necessary to implement a personalized health plan that will monitor an individuals overall health and mitigate the risk of adverse health conditions.

American Family Health focuses on health promotion, lifestyle changes and disease prevention, coupled with identification of genetic risk factors to promote health and wellness.

Once an individual’s genetic risk assessment has been performed, a strategy will be created to reduce the risk of gene expression and develop a health plan to monitor their risk of gene / disease expression.

Each individual having records of their family health history can serve two functions: (1) tracking how a trait or condition can be passed down to their children and future generations, and (2) identifying other at-risk family members or dependents.

American Family Health gives your employees and their dependents access to their personalized reports, total health and wellness assessment and recommendations. Each individual can access and share these documents with their PCP, pharmacist, and other health professionals if they so desire.

Benefits of American Family Health

Many family doctors lack the time during routinely scheduled clinic appointments to provide adequate pre and post test genetic counseling. A 30 minute Genomic Pre-screening appointment is performed where your medical and family history is thoroughly reviewed. American Family Health offers a virtual 1-Hour Appointment with our team of healthcare professionals to review your results and our recommendations. We incorporate follow-up appointments and guidance to accomplish your health goals.

A Letter from Our Founder

To You and Your Family,
Welcome! It is my pleasure to introduce you to American Family Health. American Family Health was founded with the objective to provide America’s families with an alternative for family wellness.
We provide a venue for your family to use an array of services currently unavailable elsewhere. We have assembled a multi-disciplinary health-care team staffed by a Doctor, Pharmacist, Dietician, Kinesiologist, Registered Nurse, and Genetic Specialist to counsel you on the wellness of your family. This is accomplished through using information obtained from your Genomic and Pharmacogenomic Reports, Health and Wellness Questionnaires, and Family History.
Your family will be counseled bi-annually with our professional team over a one to two hour scheduled Zoom call from the comfort of your own home. I sincerely believe American Family Health will enable you to become advocates for your family’s health and be armed with knowledge that will benefit in the administration and continued wellness of your family.
Sincerely
John R. Kimball
